Trump himself said last year that he would probably NOT release any further Epstein info.
The only person in the admin who seemed to fuel the fire was Bondi, but it was the reporter who mentioned a "list" to her in the context of the general information, and then Bondi said "it's on my desk", which is unclear as to whether she meant a literal list or just the general trove of documents.
I'm not defending any of these people I think it was a self-perpetuating delusion for people to think that any juicy incriminating info about Bill Gates or Bill Clinton or whoever else would still be sitting in the justice department after all this time.
To believe that fantasy you also have to believe that the Biden admin would have willingly turned over anything damaging instead of destroying it.
