If you banned plastics the costs of basically everything is immedietely 10x. Think a keyboard that has to be made from something other than plastic. There are two ways you can go designing this: Metal, or a plastic alternative, like plant based plastics. The metal keyboard is gonna cost legit 5-10x more than a nice plastic one, but at least be a good quality product. The plastic substitute keyboard is going to be much shittier and still 2-3x more expensive.
Now multiply this by everything made of plastic in your life. Your TV's computer monitors, printers, copiers, mice, food containers, every form of packaging...
Plastic is simply too OP to not use it everywhere. If someone hates plastic that is a very good indicator that they are sub 100 IQ.
