Their family can get annoying though and usually has either the super nerd brother or the ghetto screw up brother. The dad is usually over correcting to be seen as a good dad and righteous man it's not a bad thing but he doesn't need to try that hard and I feel awkward when people try to impress me I prefer more casual get togethers and don't expect perfection all the time from loved ones or their families. It's a 50/50 shot if they can give and take an off color joke. The dad is also usually way into biblical history and very apologetic/defensive about jews and muslims. The extended family is a mine field often one of the uncles is a career criminal and they all have a cousin in a gang or dead because of it. Food is more of a 33/33/33, they'll either be super sterotype white about it, super black where you might as well snort some lawry's or it will be the best heart attack you ever had. I find carribean blacks the best, followed by deep rural blacks and then waaaaaay down on the bottom, urban blacks, even if they all go to the same church.
