I grew up with a dog. I was around one as an infant, and I was never attacked by my childhood dog. We only had one for a reason, though. 4 is dangerous because dogs rile each other up. When they get riled up like that, they forget the appropriate level of play for the creature they are around. I do agree with your point, though. Humans turned two of the most dangerous species of predators into pets. We are space orcs.
