when there is no open conflict, there is psychological warfare, or psychoterror.
let's examine two countries: america and china.
america has virtually zero gun control, if someone wants to get a gun they WILL and you can't do shit about it. gun control doesn't work in america, it's that simple. ammunition is unregulated, the manufacture of firearms by individuals is permitted, FFLs cost only 500$ per years, critical gun parts are unregulated. the ATF is inherently a flawed organization (from the standpoint of gun control) because only the lower/frame is legally the firearm allowing you to easily 3d print it and buy everything else in online shops.
america also has the freedom of speech that allows the spread of a WIDE variety of wonderful ideas that cannot be banned unless they are direct, specific threats which is one of the exemptions of the first amendment.
now let's look a china. zero guns, strict gun control. heavily protected sovereign internet. severe language barrier.
who do you think is more vulnerable to psychoterror? do you really think a state would NOT do this just to discredit their enemy? would china induce mass shootings in the US? how many of them were already induced by the CCP? Russia?
not even touching on the topic of nonexistent democracy in US

this seems like a post but there are too many loose ends. Are you saying it’s more psychologically terrifying to live in a country with guns or without?

consider the possibility of mass shootings and terror induced by foreign state psychoterror units. it's easier to terrorize people in a country where no one is held accountable for what they say and have any kind of firearm they want including grenades.

There will be no war between major superpowers and it is ironically because of psychoterror but you don’t seem to know what that word really means. Nukes are a front. What’s really keeping these powers from going at each other is the weapons associated with Havana Syndrome. They are not Russian LRAD’s they are remote BCI’s that can not only read but write. That’s why in the testimony they basically couldn’t answer a single question unless it was in a classified setting. This shit could be aggressively activated on an entire nations population resulting in mass suicide.
