Less to do with politics, more to do with asmon being a better streamer, hasan comes across as a salty bitch who whines most of his stream and leaves for half of it and let's his chair react

Streaming culture is the great divide between me at 38y old and the younger generation. I've always been a massive nerd with 20.000 hours in world of Warcraft, but I never understood streaming. I just don't get it.

>What sets Asmon apart
I get the sense that many are drawn to watching Asmongold out of an initial sense of morbid curiosity. They've heard the rumours of the cockroach-infested, unwashed, permanently balding gormless rat-faced weirdo and want to get in on some of that delicious freak-show action.
This becomes a routine and then they start putting on the guys vapid and conveniently longform videos while playing vidya as he drones off for hours about generic contemporary issues and trending controversies with his typical plebian platitudes and trite observations with his generally agreeable and mostly inoffensive directness
Slowly, that routine induces a parasocial affability, and in the friendless world many young men are consigned to, especially post-covid, that relationship becomes almost reverential
What really sets Asmongold apart is less so his bizarre hygiene and inability to clean his room, but more that he is opposite of the typical hyper-sanitised, perfectly groomed streaming personality that will gapeface like a frightening piggy if someone screams the N word on stream. He's far more relatable to the average person, and doesn't rely on an excessively detached-from-reality gimmick.
The majority of his opinions and big statements about politics and other social issues aren't revelatory, they're just common sense reactions. An average-joe common sense that has been outlawed and made to seem alien by tacit and insidious group-idiocy mandated pious decorum in the technological and media channels of the technocratic corporate west.
I'm sure Asmongold's current state of squalor is a deliberate a work of artifice that he has striven to cultivate precisely, knowing full well that it is his hook for fresh viewers.

They are more popular, they just don't stream as consistently as Hasan and Asmongoloid. They also rely on leeching off of celebrities or chimping in public
