I was in a unique situation where COVID lockdowns fucked me over 100x harder than the average person. Side note, but we were not in that together. In fact, probably the most unique thing about COVID was how differently impacted everyone was.
Anyways, that shit was enduring af. In the end, my social skills took a hit from prolonged isolation (not because I was scared of COVID, but because I moved to a new place and did lockdowns alone - then everyone was a dick for two years after making it impossible to meet anyone). It fucked me financially as well.
Now I walk around with a chip on my shoulder, and my instinctive view of the average person went from "potential friend" to "this person would put me in a camp if the TV told them to".

I don't know, I think those case are rare and that's why we cherish them so much. From all the people I know, the more successful and well adjusted are the spoiled ones.
