How is Mexican revolution taught in Mexico?
There's truth to the saying "Revolutions are Civil Wars" but in Mexico's case it seems like such a cluster fuck.

What do they teach you in elementary school to simplify it vs in later years? There's so many people in the revolutionary pantheon but they also sometimes hate each other or coup each other or double cross each other.

When do you guys say the Mexican revolution started and ended or is it sort of up in the air. How do you feel about all the main characters besides everybody hating Diaz? I read Villa wasn't really part of the pantheon of revolutionaries in mexico until somewhat recently but in the USA people honestly only know him and Zapata though at the time Americans were big Madero fans.

>it seems like such a cluster fuck
thats because it was, the whole fucking system fell apart in less than 2 years

They do simplify it in elementary schools, to learn more you must look it up for yourself, they dont go deeper into the lore, not even in highschool, except for history colleges obviously

>When do you guys say the Mexican revolution started and ended
Started when Diaz deported Madero instead of simply unaliving him, it ended when literally everyone backstabbed everyone and Carranza passed his constitution

>Madero
Chill libtard who speaked to ghosts, talked the talk, but didnt walk the walk
>Villa
Fucking outlaw murderer that has been literally deified even tho he killed, tortured, maimed, raped, kidnaped and plundered in every fucking state in northern mexico
>Zapata
Violent like Villa, but he fought for his people, which is more thn Villa ever did, he shouldnt have been put down like a dog, he was only violent when angered, ll he wanted was land and freedom
>ObregΓ³n
he lost an arm to a cannonball LOL
>Carranza
Best moustache in the whole fucking decade, he also wrote the constitution, which is nice
Unlike Madero he actually did fight along his troops, so he was the real deal holy feel

most Spics barely finish elementary school.
So in the end it doesn't even matter cause anyone of the ones that speaks English is already a rare times rareness of them even being on this basket weaving forum.

That's sort of my impression. I really don't get the recent deification of Villa. I guess it's nice to pretend he was a robin hood figure but he just seems like an opportunist bandit. I think the only reason the US has a fascination with him is because he was so present in the borderlands and his raid into New Mexico. Also, he signed film contracts to film his battles (which never included the rapes I assume) which probably helped his international acclaim lol

I saw a quote by AMLO about Villa's raid into Columbus saying "It had to be done" but nobody seems to have any clue why he did it it seems counterproductive

Do mexicans prefer Zapata or Carranza? And what amount of that do you think is due to the fact that Carranza ordered Zapata's assassination versus their actual views/role they played. It's pretty easy to make Zapata a martyr when he's killed by his ex-anti huerto comrade.

There is no saying "Revolutions are Civil Wars" nor is there any truth to it.

There is no truth to what you are saying at all. You are blatantly dishonest.

You are running cover for child raping zionist Jews.

Are you retarded? Do you think every single colonist was pro-independence. Do you not know there was intense fighting between loyalists and revolutionaries? I'm very pro-US revolution but you could totally view it as a civil war. Tons of loyalists were driven into Canada and Loyalists and Revolutionaries were slaughtering each other especially in the Southern theatre.

>deification of Villa
If that impresses you, you should look into Malverde, its a fucking trip
Yeah, i thnk people worship him because he was a legendary outlaw, a monster, yes, but he was the BOSS, he was the Head Nigga In Charge, he took what he wanted, killed whomever he hated, and he was born a poor peasant, people find that inspirational.

>Why did Villa attacked the US
Its very simple, just didnt happened as he intended
Step 1: Raid the US and have them chase you into Mexican territory
Step 2: Make the alredy tired government (Carranza) deal with the American troops
Step 3: Lay back and let them kill each other
Step 4: Profit!
The problem was that both armies hated Villa more than each other

Zapata or Carranza?
If you go to the south you will find that Zapata's ideals are still kicking, take the EZLN for example, southerners tend to respect him a lot,
Carranza is more in the middle ground, nobody really likes him, but they dont hate him either.
He shouldve worked with Zapata instead of just assassinating him, no doubt about that

Is Malverde only for Narcos or do some poor southerner types just like him for robin hood reasons?

And yeah that makes sense about Villa but did he think the US wouldn't know it's him or think he was working with Carranza?

>>510230783
Why? I got the impression he's viewed like Santa Ana. I know a lot of infrastructure was built under him but besides that why do people like hin?

True. I think Villa survives as the more popular revolutionary because of D.W Griffith and General Pershing. Zapata was the real deal. His demands weren't even radical. Just give the indios some land and leave them be.

dude was ahead of his time, paid journalists to make good comments about him, created basic infracstructure that India and many countries still don't have, believe in universal basic income and yet brought european etiquette to all mexicans, the only ones that hated him were the ones in the mexican revolution

No, everyone can pray to him, but narcos do love him more, also, hes more popular among the northerners.

>And yeah that makes sense about Villa but did he think the US wouldn't know it's him or think he was working with Carranza?
My guess is he hoped theyd all shoot first and ask questions later, creating a new war to diminish Carranzas strangth

>Why? I got the impression he's viewed like Santa Ana.
Yeah, hes up there with Cortez, Malinche, Huerta and DΓaz Ordaz in the hall of infamy, some people tend to revere him for his "Progress", most just hate him
One thing he should get recognition for is his contribution in creating Mexican national identity, he organized the celebrations for the 100th year annyversary of the Independence day, covered everything in red, white and green, eagles and snakes

They teach us it started as an uprising against yet another dictatorship, fueled by a fight for worker's rights and social movements...then they tell us who killed who when Diaz stepped down but they (the government) never explicitly tell us how it turned into inner fighting, backstabbing and a pity fight for power and money and it just ended in changing the ruler but keeping or enhancing the same political system. The revolution did not achieve the people's goals, it just swapped and modernized the dictatorship. The ideals of the first caudillos got lost or diluted, and shows us how us Mexicans are exceptionally good at backstabbing each other.

Back when I was in school they taught us the caudillos were heroes with a few quirks, and that Porfirio Diaz was a cartoon villain oppressor of the people. That was 20 years ago and I went to Catholic school, but the SEP books were mandatory. Now I'm guessing he's seen as a chud who didn't allow the poc LGBTs to prosper o algo.

They simplify it pretty easy (though historically incorrect): Porfirio Diaz le bad guy. The rest le good goys. Goblinos slurp that shit, and hence hate civilization, higher classes, order, and peace.
>Be me
>Revolutionaries killed my family just because they has a plantation hacienda and were white
>Killed even babies
>Hacienda is abandoned and my surviving ancestors had to flee
>Hacienda today is occupied by donkeys and other livestock, church destroyed
>Some villagers still remember my family and swear to kill any survivors (i.e., me and my family line) if we dare to return and claim our property.
Sad.
