you may ask how come? and aren't those fantasy?
yes, but there's a few with sci-fi mix with it like Sage Monarch, very hilarious Novel from a sci-fi standpoint.
A scenario like 40k would never happen, if magic exist, so does daoism, therefore cultivation system, therefore power beyond what a puny warp god of the galaxy can muster, and thus it would never happen.
You don't need to be enhance like in 40k, but you get enhance, the thing is.. you get less organ, not more, most of the time anyway. Mostly because you have a spiritual body and not only your physical body, and both can be upgraded, there's also other type of bodies and clones too. Is a very vast genre, it doesn't sci-fi to exist in space, for example. After all, when people can open the fabrics of space-time on their own to move about, is not.
If I wrote a book on 40k it would be the emperor together with a old expert on daoism band together to turn all the chaos gods, much like their tangiable space gods the Q'tan into fragments and use them as source for the human cultivation system, basically purifying and exploits those pieces of shit at the same time, they wouldn't be useful for existence either way, at least give them some utility.
Maybe one day they would be truly dead, but until that point the cultivation system as a whole would be way stronger, with reincarnation paths, etc.
Don't get me wrong, cultivation novels are even more brutal than 40k, sometimes.
