Both Norway and Denmark are homogenous European nations. The US has sizable amounts of minorities.
Not just the obvious ones like africans, mexicans and natives. But also jews, indians, and chinese.
Large amounts of minorities means everyone takes care of their own group first and foremost. Denmark and Norway take care of the whole country because the whole country is their group.

If you want the US to be run like those countries, you need to break the minorities and ensure that all of them consider themselves american first. Not 'african american' or 'jewish american' or 'hispanic american'. Just American.

Without unity, it is just groups of people competing for control over government. Not people working together for the benefit of all.
