He beat the fuck out of his wives, killed one of them or at least drove her to suicide through pure abuse, let his son die rather than trade a general for him in a prisoner exchange, drank and got furious so everyone feared his drunken temper, robbed banks in his younger days, probably personally murdered many people with his own hands.
