These guys won't make it. Tradie here. Have a guy only 5 years younger than me as my apprentice, he like my last 3 came from white collar office work. These people have zero mechanical skills and want 3-4 years trade experience pay, usually more. This guy and all the others before him are useless. The vast majority won't be able to replace the rest of us that have been doing trades for 10-15 years at this point. But come and try. I get your point, I went on a bit of a rant, but every single skilled trade pretty much requires you to start at ground level and learn through being an apprentice, with a mix of some requiring trade school of some sort, your paid like shit during this time until you can get enough hours under a company to take a test and get. License that lets you work above apprentice level. Guys leaving white college jobs won't be able to survive on apprentice level pay of they are older. And for the young guys, they get double fucked because the entry level pay will decrease with more available labor pool, and more job competition.

We're decades, if not centuries, away from having AGI, which is the real AI - term loosely thrown around by tech illiterate retards and ragebaiting media when talking about large language models.
