America was founded as a protestant nation by protestant white men. It has been majority protestant for most of its history. Most catholics aren't part of the founding stock and only are only here because their great (times something) grandpappy was a mick who came here via a bout at the turn of the 20th century.
Don't get me wrong, it's still better than having jeets or jews, I can't help but feel pissed off inside when I hear some Ellis Island mick or wop or pollack talk about the revolution or the civil war. "The Confederate flag wavers are losers who we defeated" No you didn't defeat anybody. Your ancestors were starving in Potatobumfuckland when that war was taking place. I unironically like blacks more in that regard since at least they were here since the beginning
