not that weird, if you read the literature on NDEs, thanatology, past life regressions (eg Dr Michael Newton's Journey of Souls, dr Brian Weiss, etc) the afterlife is described as very peaceful

i know some people will say that this is part of the moon-saturn soul recycling prison planet matrix system etc but whatever your take on that is, it's at least not unpleasant

I'm pretty sure existence is just living different lives over and over with some sort quantum immortality when you die violently, or die "before your time."
Years ago I was vacantly taking my regular highway commute, and my attention drifted a bit. Next thing I know, there's an 18 wheeler blasting down the other lane and drifting into my lane, coming right at me--0 time for me to react. And then the situation was just over. I kept driving, and the truck kept driving in the opposite direction. We "should" have collided, but we didn't.
