How did Christianity end up like this? So denominations, over 45,000 of them. Judaism has only 12-15 denominations, and Islam has over 70. Are we really that divided despite the faith in God?

Catholicism basically got it right that you need a class of priests who can infight about scriptural shit while leaving the general population out of it, because the moment you allow normies to try and do their own analysis of theology they will invariably come up with thousands of retarded takes on it and then fiercely defend their own autistic interpretations.

The Orthodox did the next best thing which was a religion of discrete but largely allied national churches which adjust the religion minorly for the laity in their respective populations.

The Protestants chose the worst of both worlds, they have pretensions of universalism but they're also obsessively talmudic in their constant personal interpretation of scripture, and they're fragmented. The result being a zillion divided ministries instead of one large coherent one. The only possible outcome is that they are gradually absorbed back into Catholicism.

I became Orthodox. An infallible Pope is retarded. Bad Popes have made terrible decisions and it takes only 1 man to basically change church doctrine. The Catholic church backstabbed Orthodox countries hard in the face of Muslim invasions, sanctify the invasion of Poland more than once, told Henry the VIII to go fight another succession war with France and sanctifies 3rd world invasion and ethnic cleansing of Americans because there are not enough Catholics here already. The American Catholics in Springfeild Ohio who lost their jobs and rented homes to Haitians were told to go to Hell for complaining about where the church money was spent. There is a point where the Church should stay out of politics. The Orthodox Church here does it splendidly and takes care of its own followers.

Division of social groups means that there is social progress occurring. Uniformity among Catholicism means that they are trying far harder to conceal the cracks than the people who are not afraid to show their dissent.

Look at the catholic chimps in recent years. Any serious catholics died a long time ago if their long-standing traditions and beliefs can so easily be subverted. Female bishops, gays and transsexual bishops/congregations, involving itself in politics.
All of those things are strictly prohibited and/or severely discouraged in the bible. There are no serious catholics anymore.
