It was and the issue of slavery was still there even back then, they just prioritized independence and kicked the can down the road for boarder support which was the right move since between slavery and independence one is obviously more important.

Not really, the Union tried time and time again to offer plans the South just wouldn't have it. And the South actively interfered with other states that were joining the Union. And were attacking senators and other things over personal vendettas. Not so much for the North.
The people who wanted to both free slaves and demanded we keep them in the US were a minority but southerners were lied to and told that was what most wanted.
Some things are equally applicable, like certain industrialists planting the seeds of future problems, but even the worst kike in the North wasn't going to cause a war with the government and whites at the time for his own profits, that wouldn't come until the modern era where they can be open about anti white hatred. They still had to lie and pretend to be pro white until the 60's.
