Two kaffirs tried to rob me (and partly succeeded). One got away, the other I caught and fought. He tried to knife me, but he was terrible at fighting. I stabbed him 22 times with an envelope opener I had in my boot. Then the cops happened to drive by, broke it up, beat the remaining shit out of the bantu, and made me go to the station to waste time filing the report. They coached me to not mention any of the stabbing on my part. But that was all for nought anyway, because of course it never showed up to court.

Point being is that DEATH is not the issue, LIFE is.

We all will die, sooner or later. None of us can escape that.

What we can do however is FIGHT for our LIFE, and when you understand that, your chance of survival against anyone fighting to kill you, will be much higher.

But the point is (even all other things being equal) its not the will to KILL that is relevant in this, it is the will to LIVE that determines whom will walk away alive (even if severly injured).

I survived a knife fight. I played rugby in college but just used cardio to outrun the guy trying to rob me. Most people are totally gassed out after a 30 second sprint.

i can remember those events like they happened yesterday. the sounds, smells, physical struggle, everything. used to relive that often, and it made me do some insane stuff over the years.

20 years on, 95% behind me, but i still think about them on occasion. once or sometimes twice a month.

First firefight in Afghanistan that i knew for certain was a fight to the death will always be one i remember. It really does change things when you know for certain its a struggle of annihilation.

I've never been in a serious fight but I had a couple close calls with some people when I was out at night. I've had this thing I've always wondered about where when the situation gets real and I have to shout or something, my eyes kind of involuntarily roll around and it's a really odd feeling.
One time I was out late and these four or so guys were throwing beer bottles at me from a little ways away and I just shouted incoherently at them while my eyes rolled around and they left

1. Are you more skilled and/or more physically capable than your opponent?
2. Do you have the will and aggression to kill someone?
