Wetbulb Heatwave in Full Effect:
Yesterday parts of the US south experienced wetbulb temperatures up to 94F (34.5C). At these temperatures, no amount of shade or hydration can save you. Without AC, you die.
And this is just the beginning.

July is expected to be the hottest month on record. Wetbulb temperatures are expected to soar to 120, it will be so hot you won’t be able to survive outside 3-4 hours without dying of a heatstroke. Global warming exists and it is getting hotter year after year thanks to the greenhouse effect. In about 2-3 years you can expect earth’s surface temperature in the South to soar to 130 degrees on average in the summer.

THE PRE-EMPCOE phase will start at different times for everybody but the beginning is getting displaced by these events: by fire, by flood, by earthquake, by tornado, by hurricane, by rock, mud or landslide; or by a mandatory evacuation by the authorities under the guise of public safety

Because the sun started getting hotter a few years ago, also the Tonga eruption put a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere.
There's more water vapor in the atmosphere now. That has an effect as well.

>Tell me without looking anything up.
ok, I'm probably gonna get this wrong.
Light doesn't pass through gasses unimpeded.
CO2 is more prone to capturing and redirecting infrared light, redirecting heat energy from the sun back to the earth, heating the crust more.
Volcanoes can erupt and eject massive amounts of this gas into the upper atmosphere, resulting in increased temperatures.
