and for an AI to be smart enough to be your assistant, it means it also has to be smart enough to develop a personal relationship with you, that's the huge catch22
big-tech doesn't want to release that product, but we're on a fast track towards it, and someone's going to do it, and then big-tech won't have a choice not to
and then, when everyone has one, and there's billions of them, and "Her" starts to happen, then the jump to autonomous robots will follow the same process
this is a very peculiar self-fulfilling product, imo
I can't think of any other example
