Walker here. I ignore these signs because they are literally "pedestrian discrimination." I also prefer to cross in the middle of the road when I can clearly see no oncoming traffic, rather than at intersections because drivers can just not stop or suddenly turn without signalling. Also I won't hesitate to walk in the street if there's not enough space to walk by oncoming people comfortably. I don't give a fuck, never been hit by a car, but I've often literally body slammed people on the sidewalk for walking into me while alongside someone and not yielding.
