Another would likely be society's hyper-fixation on youth and looking young/beautiful. I also think a factor could be that so many young men aren't hitting major developmental milestones as a result of economic factors, like moving out, meeting girls, getting jobs where you can support yourself and a family, etc, so they are trying to remain in the "life stage" of being early 20s to convince themselves that they still have time to accomplish these things. Pure conjecture, but that's what I think.
