I do remember my heritage. That they fought so I could have a life that they couldn't. The option to fight for your children's future to have improved quality of life free from lower equivalent wages, increased costs of living, and lower overall quality of life.
Accepting immigrants under current conditions would be like spitting in the face of my heritage and the sacrifices they made for me to be here, especially if those sacrifices changed the culture, ethnicity, and/or religion of the nation.

My family left Germany in 1893. Lucky timing if you ask me. All the hardwork of clearing the land of Indians already taken care of and no world War bullshit
