because JIDF used to post from behind a Canadian VPN and I'm sure we all remember (except for the newfags and tourists) when the leaf flag was the most despised flag on here, there were constant calls for them to be range banned they were posting so much retarded crap, BBC, shit opinions, slide threads, etc, but then right after the war in the Ukraine kicked off a few years ago there suddenly was a drop in leaf posts and the ones remaining seemed a lot less gay and retarded than before. Right around this time there was a huge increase, like ten times the number, of posts with a Polish flag, and you guessed it, 90% of these Polish flag posts were/are retarded shit, sliders, and other garbage (My sister wife made cabbage soup, should I eat it?). Pretty obvious what happened to anybody paying attention.

why? strawberries are good, noddles are good. why not mix them together? u can put butter (Savory) on toast and also can put jam jelly on toast (sweet) and no 1 bats an eye. so whats the difference

Polak here, definitely remember macaroni with sweet milk from back in the 80s. Polish breakfast version of cereal. It was 100% comfy.

It's the texture. Bread has a spongy texture, while pasta is a lot more soft- better for carrying the flavors and textures of sauce. I think it's unusual to make pasta into a dessert item, but it does check out, objectively.

when its toasted it loses the spongy texture and becomes hardened and crunchy yet ppl still put jam jelly on it. also nutella. and anyway the jamjelly these pollacks r doing r sauces anyway - which according to ur theory goes with pasta noodles.

If it's toasty and crunchy, then I can see it being rather tasty. I think I'd rather someone else make it for me before I give it a go myself, though. I'm not really a pasta-fiend.

no im talking about toast - it becomes hardened and very stiff but ppl still put jamjelly on it - its not cause its spongy in other words. so why cant pasta have nice jamjelly?

Come to think of it, my great grandmother used to make a pasta dessert like that. It was pasta, a sweet cheese/ cheese and sugar (or maybe Candyquik, back when you had to make your own candy), and raisins. I only know because it was written in one of her recipe books, but I never had any because I don't think either my grandma or mom liked it.

>>510513500

Yeah, but the crunch of the toast still works well with the jam and butter and other goodies.

Is the pasta toasted up after being made or is it still soft? Because if it is soft, it's not a texture that the American palate associates with delivering sweet flavors. It used to when the Americans eating it were either from the old country or were directly raised by someone from the old country, hence my great grandma's old dessert utilizing pasta.

>Is the pasta toasted up after being made or is it still soft?
i have no idea i have never eaten this dish. but im saying there is nothing inherently wrong with it. pasta is a base carb. "base" meaning u can do anything with it. sweet, salty, sour, spicy. ur right its cultural conditioning.

why not make the pasta out of a grain that has slightly more sugar content, making it a dessert dish? That's clearly what it is, not to mention regular-ass pasta is pretty palette neutral.

This is assuming, of course, the sauce is yogurt or cream based. If it's not, the dish is obviously garbage. If the argument is 'why don't you just put this on a biscuit and call it a strawberry shortcake', then that is a correct argument. There are weirder dishes out there than this, and most of them come from Africa and Israel.
