It pretty much already is, we're just going through the motions. Once the boomers die off the charade won't need to be maintained anymore. Germany is especially bad since everyone moves here for opportunities and a welfare system (that's being pushed to the brink, we're rapidly spiraling into dept).

Germany was the most depressing country I've seen in Europe. There was a feeling of defeat and tiredness in people. Even young locals felt old in a way. Infrastructure was crumbling or dirty. Munich and Koln are like the middle East in my memory. Heidelberg had an Indian parade or something, it was crazy. Dresden was the only German city I felt I've been to.

I'm in my early 30's and in western Germany. It's very sad, places I used to go to eat that were filled with Germans, when I was younger, are now filled with large groups Indians on their laptops, chinese immigrant families with 2-3 kids, large muslim families with an overweight mom wrapped in some ugly flag outfit, large black families fresh from the Congo. Last time I went to the city nearest to me it was overrun with arab drug dealers, shitty hiphop culture, street beggers, etc.
I still go to small town events but it's almost all boomers, i talk with them and they always have one or two children who are in the work force, they never have grand kids, and they all vote for more migration because "merkel did wonders for the economy!".
America ran non-stop propaganda for 80 years to justify working with the Soviet Union in a pointless war, much of it was false and is quietly going to be shuffled under the rug, but the damage was done. German boomers uprooted and destroyed their nation (while profiting immensely) and the remains are being handed out to whoever shows up. Younger Germans bought the propaganda and vowed to become something modern, in the image of what pious holy America wanted. I don't know
