In the 4th DT book he has an old witch try to finger-fuck a teenage girl as well during a graphic depiction of having her virginity checked (and then later on describes in graphic detail her being molested by an elderly man multiple times). But in the 7th DT book he includes an entire passage about a character eating pus from a pimple and a different one eating used tissues. In the 5th DT book he devotes a ton of time to the graphic depiction of a man having his testicles smashed. He spends a lot of time making his villains seem gross or perverse, which makes sense for a horror author.

The scene in IT is unique only because it’s not the monster that’s responsible, the scene is meant to come across as uplifiting or poignant rather than horrifying.
