>>510562576>why would God punish them for doing something he literally wanted and ordained them to unwittingly do? Doesn't make senseRomans 9:17
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Romans 9:21
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
Is the best answer I can give you. I don't know all the mystery's of God. I'm sure, if you ever get to ask him, he will give you a better answer then I ever could.
>muh jews are Christkiller thingFor me its mostly about continual rejection of Christ.
>that 40 years after the crucifixion is arbitrary and has nothing to do with the 40 years in the wilderness during the Exodus being referenced there in Joshua. That bit in Joshua is describing the incident in the wilderness where all the grown men in their 30s get swallowed up by the earth, it's not a prophecy referring to anything after the old testamentMany things in the old testament are a forshadowing of New Testament. You can literally even see this in the fist chapter in the Old Testament, with the story of Cain and Abel.
Cain the first born offered the fruit of his labor to God, and God rejected it. Abel offered a lamb and God accepted it. In the New Testament Jesus Christ is refered to the lamb of the world. John 1:29
You can also see that with Moses striking the rock and waters gush out. (Moses was punished for striking the rock twice) Christ refers to himself as the living waters. Lots of connections between Old Testament and New Testament.
