Was pretty keen on this new job. Did the onboarding and related online "courses" to get certificates to do job.

Wasn't paid or anything. Was done in my own time. Now I remember reading something in the contract about if you don't stick around for 6 months or something that you need to pay for certificates etc.

Can they realistically chase me up and force me to pay for this? Not sure if these certificates were the paid courses. It was just an online link, watch a video and answer multiple choice questions type of course. Mind you, they seemed to expect me to chase up the bosses/supervisors. Think it's a red flag type job? It's a casual position and just reading the employee handbook there is a bunch of goofy requirements like having to call in sick the day before you actually need to be sick. How does that even work when you start at 7 and don't know how you feel when you wake? Also apparently having to take selfies pics when you clock in . Also the fact there was this rush to complete those online modules before the job ever started.

It was for a cleaning position btw which I thought would be chill but I'm starting to think it might be one of those abusive jobs where they act more shifts is a reward even if I just want 1 or 2 shifts
