Women hate monogamy. They don't want to settle with an average guy. They want men fighting each other so that only the strongest, healthiest and fittest may breed them.

Yeah, obviously there are brilliant alpha males who move mountains, but most of them are just assholes leaching off the system as much as anyone earning wages.
