If I could get rid of 5 boards I'd tear out the nexus of faggotry that is /bant/, /r9k/, /soc/ /lgbt/ and /trash/. I also quite dislike modern day /x/ and think there's a sincere o9a or realted group presence there these days.

It's tough.
In terms of hobbies then culturally /tv/, /v/ and /tg/ are just too important, there's no better place for open discussion for those hobbies elsewhere, there's no better place for sharing /tg/ related material than on /tg/, there's no stronger meme board than /tv/.
I think /fit/ helps a lot of people get started in fitness.
Then it comes to more practical boards, where I have to weigh the importance of something like /g/, /adv/, /wsg/.
