a lot of people don't seem to understand that immigrants get the short end of the stick in this arrangement, they flee their countries in search of a better life and end up doing back breaking labor for below poverty wages because business owners know they can get away with underpaying and exploiting someone who they could always hand over to ICE if they misbehave

Teenagers. Look at youth unemployment in the US. Teenagers should be flipping burgers and packing lettuce, not 45 year old Juan and his 4 kids on Medicaid.

Big Agro and corporations have been privatizing their profits and socializing their losses for way too long. Meanwhile young people are on COBRA which gives them their parents' insurance until they are 25.

Literally only wealthy people benefit from illegal labor.

Young people can't afford houses, they can't get jobs. They are being squeezed from all sides. Mass illegal immigration makes getting a blue collar job ridiculous. Mass legal immigration and h1-b is making getting a White collar job impossible. Meanwhile kids are graduating from school with massive amounts of debt where they have to compete with nepobaby foreign students (50% of Columbia is foreign rich kids).

Both illegal and legal immigration is pushing up the price of housing while putting downward pressure on wages. Meanwhile young people are on the line for the 42% of LEGAL Americans on Medicaid (60 million illegals makes that figure much higher) and 20% of people collecting social security, and that doesn't even account for Medicare and disability. Boomers really just went "fuck those kids".

I haven't been able to get a code monkey job in years and I've looked for farm jobs and can find any posted (in English). I tried becoming an electrician but the Mexican (squatemalan) guy managing it didn't like me because I don't speak spanish fluently.
