It came out the same year as Practical Idealism, by Count Kalergi.

Assuming this was just a coincidence, I think it's quite interesting that two different books on the same subjects with two very different conclusions, written by two very different men from very different backgrounds, would come out the same year and ultimately be of such immense significance 100 years later.

It is quite profoundly ironic that in the present day, the "inferior pure bloods" of that "Pagan" Chivalric character, now in the era where the pen is the weapon of the intellectual elite, it is not Kalergi's "new master-race" of Jews and racially mixed people, but.. the racially pure of that "old spirit" who have turned out to be so devastatingly competent and effective with writing that the Kalergian elites, demand cancellation and censorship of opposition, retreating further and further into their safe spaces due to how badly they fare in mental duels.

I don't know of anyone else other than myself that has put a lot of emphasis on these two polarising works written by perhaps these two most polarising characters having released their very well articulated philosophies in the same year, 100 years ago.

I'd recommend reading both because, to be fair to Kalergi (who was not a Jew, but, of European and Japanese old-world nobility) he represented something vastly more impressive, vastly superior and vastly more dangerous than the Jews and their scribbling attempts at political philosophy.
In his work you see a well formed enemy mindset willing to do battle openly, and I think that is very refreshing for racial nationalists of both European and Japanese descent, because so much of political fighting is an irritating game of "catch the weasel" and "find the sausage" (same weasel, same place, every time, no originality).

Got a copy last year on Alibris for $40 CAD. I'm currently about halfway done with it. I keep taking breaks from it because he's very verbose and colourful in his writing, and the chapters are long as fuck, so there is a lot to process. It's definitely the type of book to re-read a few times and take notes, I'd say. Closer to the beginning, he talks a lot about recent (for his time) European history, which is kind of boring but it does provide necessary context about the state of German society at the time and prior to WWI. Many of the things he's said so far have stuck with me, though, especially "nature the eternal takes vengeance on those who defy her laws", which I found very beautiful, and the part where he uses an example of an impoverished child who is so concerned with the basics of surviving that he never develops a sense of national pride or a sense of belonging to his nation. I think many people are like that today.

I've learned a lot so far and it's good to hear it from the horse's mouth rather than believing normies who couldn't even figure out how to get ahold of a copy if they wanted to read it for themselves. I remember a teacher told us when I was in grade 5 that Mein Kampf was "Hitler's plan for mass murder" and all this other bullshit that isn't in there.

By the way, don't bother with any other translations aside from the Stalag Edition, which was the only authorized translation to English, given out to Allied POWs during the war. Many of the other translations were poorly done, omit sections, or are totally kiked and add things he didn't say.

I listened to the audio book of the Stalag edition at work in 2018. I was told it wasn't the most faithful translation but it got the message across. If you want to understand what he is saying and where he comes from you need some historical context at times. As an example, he will talk about the Weimar government like you are a contemporary German, including happenings and names of politicians you've never heard of. All of that shouldn't be a problem is you are inquisitive enough to seek it out in the first place. Very interesting and it makes the picture a lot clearer.

One of my favorite books. It’s dry sometimes, but there is a lot of life philosophy that resonates with young men. There wasn’t even that much antisemitism. Most of it is political theory: how to make a successful movement and what makes a quality leader.

Mein Kampf reads very similar to other politician memoirs. These books are always written with an eye to future elections and hence they are very sterile and bland. They never go very deep into the personal life of the author because the politician obviously does not wish to reveal his weaknesses. All politician memoirs have this same self serving feeling like they are a 300 page version of a politician's pamphlet that is handed out to attract voters. Whether they be nazi, commie, left, right, politicians are very boring writers.

One interesting thing about Mein Kampf was his description of the Vienna blue collar multikulti workforce. He said that all the gypsies, magyars, slavs etc who comprised this workforce were super coarse and anti-German. This is very similar to my own experiences in multikulti America and explains why he placed so much emphasis on race in his politics. Austria Hungary seems to be an apt metaphor for the modern West with a dominant ethnicity trying to control foreign groups and resulting in their foreign groups reverse colonizing the dominant ethnicity. However his description of his own pre war days in Vienna bears little relation to what I have read in a biography of him, which said that he was virtually homeless, postcard painter with a jewish art dealer.

I actually read it in the German original.
Read the critical edition but 99% of the editor's commentary is trash and I ignored it.
MK itself is a good book. And very German in character.
You'd need some familiarity with German culture to truly grasp it.
It also characterises Hitler.
