I'm not demoralized, I'm just confused. Trump ran on so many things people would vote him into office for that he didn't really need to bring up Epstein stuff at all in his campaign. Makes no sense to have that be something you run on and hire people to work on, then suddenly not release it. Republicans held the US House during a large chunk of Obama's term, from 2011 to 2017. And the Senate from 2015 to 2017. They could have done all sorts of investigations or prosecutions. But they didn't. Instead, we had guys like 'Trey Gowdy' dancing around like faggots for years while not actually DOING anything. If the GOP truly believed that Obama and his administration was breaking the law, where the fuck were the prosecutions, impeachments, etc.?

Obama's job was managing the fall out from the GFC, opinions on how well he did that vary. The US economy did well relative to Europe and was strong on paper but I don't think he deserves much credit for that. His instincts on foreign policy were pretty good but he let those three bitches Clinton, Rice, and Power influence him far too much. Ultimately, Obama's problem was he was black. It affected the judgement of his enemies and his allies. The rise of the far right and the rise of "woke" couldn't have happened without him and his policies. Most importantly, his anti-democratic economic policies.
