I'm confused, we can already buy sugar coca cola it's just a bit more expensive. Is this going to increase the price of all coke? Are they ending the corn subsidies and sugar tariffs?

Don't think the news will really tell you

Since coke is such a huge brand, they have probably been pressured by different administrations to use corn syrup as a way to subsidize corn without actually subsidizing corn (like ethanol requirements).

Corn syrup is also subsidizing the diabetes industry. Sugar is not meant to be cheap.

Is there even enough sugar cane grown to instantly replace the corn syrup in all of coca cola?

What are the sugar tariffs like?

This is so fucking funny because you just know he 100% did this for himself given how much Coke he drinks. Bur I'm not against better tasting soda. Hopefully Pepsi and Dr. Pepper do the same. Can you imagine Dr. Pepper with cane sugar?

Sodabros we are so back

Real sugar will cause diabetes also. The problem is the level of consumption. People who get sick from it drink like 4 2 liters per day. If you did that with cane sugar it would probably be even worse for you.

pro-tip that will piss off ALL THE CORPORATIONS: buy a bag of sugar and when you want to have a nice sweet drink, just put a teaspoon of sugar in your glass of water. you can do this for years all from one bag that costs less than one bottle of coke

Throw in some citrus like lemons, oranges or limes. Sugar water alone is a little poverty. You make big batches of this if you have access to fruit. But I'm from Florida, so..

Not only that, cane sugar is not produced in the US.
It'd be one thing to use beet sugar (which is what most table sugar is) but Trump went straight for a foreign product.
