>>510714725While the comparison of media sources might seem like 'culture war nonsense,' the point about disinformation is critical because it directly impacts public discourse and policy. Regardless of the political alignment, the spread of demonstrably false information erodes trust and makes it harder to address real problems. My intent was to highlight a observed trend which is obvious to anyone paying attention.
Perhaps a more productive metric than 'which side is worse' would be to discuss the impact of disinformation on democratic processes and societal cohesion, regardless of its origin
My statement about violence was not meant to imply it's exclusive to one side. Any political violence, regardless of who perpetrates it, is a serious threat to a functioning democracy and should be condemned unequivocally. The point I was trying to make is that there have been documented instances of violence from the far-right. This was seen in J6 and is absolutely provably the case. You can say "MUH ANTIFA" but keep in mind those rioters never showed up to the Senate and were prepared to start murdering politicians.
>drug shitThe leftist take on this issue is that locking people up is not going to solve the problem and is a waste of money. I agree with you that buying them their own drugs is probably a step too far but locking them up is a bigger waste and in a country with a public criminal records system it's basically fucking you over for life.
>muh immigrationOn immigration, a left-wing view often emphasizes humanitarian concerns, the economic benefits of immigration, and the historical context of global migration. The idea that leftists have with this is that since people won't fuck, and there's no way to solve this problem being put up by either side, the best thing to do is to import the people who will fuck, or else the country will literally fucking collapse. What will you do when only pension-drawers exist but nobody is working? What then?
