that’s not what I meant. Medicaid is the only thing financially keeping tons of rural hospitals- hospitals that have to cover huge regions of people- mostly poor. Without that money those hospitals disappear, and all those people have no healthcare for 50, sometimes as far as 100 miles.

And if you don’t live in a rural area, the same is true for city and suburban hospitals. Because when Medicaid disappears for millions of people, yes hospitals close like I mentioned, but those people don’t disappear. The people who otherwise may have gone to urban urgent care clinics are now flooding suburban emergency rooms. Now when your little Timmy from the suburbs gets a twisted ankle he’s not going to be able to be seen for 12 hours instead of 45 minutes because triage is overflowing.

And don’t get me started on what Medicaid disappearing does to the cost of health private health insurance (I’ll give you a hint: it doesn’t make it go down, that’s for sure)

either they pay the bill, or future generations pay higher bills. either way people will be thieved via tax and inflation.

one way or another people will suffer and die. politics is choosing who and when and where.

objectively, the young and healthy are more valuable than the old and sick. so why must further decisions constantly further ensure the continual impoverishment of the young to extend the life of the soon to be deceased? let their own children finance said life extension if they care and can afford it, but do not force it on all of the future generation.

that's not how it works. Being at least medicaid pays something. Now you will see more ER trips and less lower cost preventative trips to a doctor. Then when that person can't pay for the ER trip that entire cost is dumped into everyone else. Also will see more hospitals close so worse care for locals in more rural areas.
As now they need to drive farther for treatment. Then you have the nursing home issues. As so many are propped up by medicaid as few families can afford long term care housing. Never mind all the lost wages when grand mother can't afford her medicaid nursing home. So she moves in with family and someone has to be with her all day.
There is zero reason to cut medicaid as the richest country in the world. You can't just melt down the poor into bio fuel. Hey but don't worry the wealthy elite got a tax cut. They rest of us get a tax increase along with cuts to services everywhere and higher costs to everything due to regressive taxation hidden behind calling them tariffs. Great!

Having Medicaid is actually one of the only things keeping private insurance rates as low as they are. The part you fail to realize is that people don’t exist in a vacuum. Here’s a detailed explanation of why you are wrong.

Yes, the progressive intersectional stack power structure had to be brought low, even if it was by the same hands that had created it. Fuck you guys and your "there is no crisis at the boarder", "trans kids", "Anti-white rhetoric", "cancel culture ", " COVID restrictions", " George Floyd riots that were 'fiery but Peaceful'"," the Hillary campaign and CNN outright lying ", the list goes on and on, and you're hoping everything gets forgotten amongst all the other shit. No way, I fucking HATE you people and won't forget. Just because the other state team got caught with their pants down again with you, doesn't mean I have to just keep switching sides between the two. I don't regret my vote, I regret only being able to chose between the devil and the diablo.

or maybe you don't keep giving endless tax cuts to the top level wealthy elite and corporations? Being we can easily afford basic social needs like medicaid. Like is your brain so broken that you don't understand decades of tax cuts allowing more wealth hording by the elite is a bedrock cause of our deficit and cost issues?
You're like a medieval peasant begging the lordship to take an even greater share of your resources. Being the wealthy will use your resources better than you! Holy shit the downward spiral kicked in hard with the Bush tax cuts and gets worse with the Trump cuts.
Ask yourself why was the middle and even lower class better off back in the day despite higher progressive tax rates? Basic job but had a house, car, wife, kids and maybe a pension. Now it's the highest pooling of wealth with the top level in all of modern history and average people can't even cover solo rent with full time jobs.
We also get hit with new massive tariffs that is just a regressive tax by another name. Hey but at least the wealthy keep getting more. Sure I own a paid off home so this shit barely impacts me but I'm not blind to how it smashes down others.

So you claim I'm strawmanning (with gaslighting my concerns like a typical passive aggressive leftist) and then start strawmanning yourself. Makes you a hypocrite too. I'm a finance professional and I'm currently back in university for more education, paid for by the VA. So no, I'm not your red hat MAGA. Which I stated earlier, I was not. Reading comprehension seems beneath you as well, my bReddit adorned friend.
Just as well, as is usual of you Alinsky educated types, you handwave any concerns of your enemy as "distractions" and mere detours on the road to the ultimate goal. You lost the last election with that attitude. You can't just tell everyone that's not a part of your terminally zealous circle that their thoughts and ideas are inconsequential and don't matter. Not even the most disinterested, neutral party wants to be told this, nor will they listen to you after finger wagging them into the ground. You lost because of your hubris, and the next election cycle will see you lose again, likely to a third party. Maybe that's a victory to you though, "better dead than red", right? ;)

because outside directed violence the wealthy and powerful have all the means and motivation to consolidate their position and kill competition.
you are fighting a losing rearguard action thinking social spending in and of itself is a good band aid.

unless you are against differential tax codes in principle and want one tax rate with absolutely no exceptions, caveats or subsidies, any position not of the elite will lose the game. slowly, almost imperceptibly but they will lose it. until they are reduced to starving serfs and pick up the rock to bash the rulers heads in.

So in conclusion I do not want any band aids at all. I want no state funded social safety net, and nothing except the bare minimum to have a society. military, glowies, taxmen, judges. anything else is further table scraps concession to us lower classes for further leavers of the oligarchs to concentrate and consolidate their power.

hell, its already known that nonnative multinationals have miraculously 0 profits, at least over here, and so the only people who pay taxes are workers and native smaller businesses.

I want to reduce the budget of the state at any turn if it is not in relation to the four or five pillars it actualy needs to be called a nation. and sometimes even to those if they are excessively overweight for what they deliver.

you are the one insisting on table scraps. I am the one claiming that none should be given at all, to illegitimates further differential taxation and misallocation of legally beglared money by the state.

Cool, now lets put free ER on the chopping block next. The situation here is that government begets more government. First you make everyone give ER for free, then you have to patch it with medicaid.
>There is zero reason to cut medicaid as the richest country in the world. You can't just melt down the poor into bio fuel.
Gibs are not necessary in a competitive market. Remove barriers to competition. Eliminate not just the ACA, but all government subsidies for employer-sponsored health insurance. The health insurance industry insulates people from the cost of care, allowing hospitals to get away with abusive pricing and overly-expensive business practices. The licensure/AMA/residence problem also needs to be addressed to increase the supply of doctors. There's no reason becoming a doctor should be guaranteed to make you rich, but it does because the supply is artificially reduced. The same is true of lawyers (both jewish professions, by the way).

Oh, and the reduced supply of doctors is also a patient health risk. You get a bunch of overworked doctors at hospitals who screw up. The resulting malpractice suits also add cost to the system.
