If back in WW2 the population gave up the second they saw all the deaths from D-day and pictures of bodies on the beach’s (they were censored I know, just like what RUZZIA does) people started rioting and protesting we never would have achieved the post-WW2 power we have/had.

It's weird the choices people make when killing themselves. You'd think you'd grab a grenade and hold it right to your head, ensuring an instant and guaranteed death. Throwing the grenade a couple feet away might make your death more painful and drawn out.
