Xi is the best leader China has had in recent memory. The only reason he would be deposed because he failed to control China's nascent oligarchs and they are trying to ensconce someone who is more business friendly. But China would fall without a strong leader.
The west likes to depict China as a hive mind, and it's true that communism is an ideology almost tailor made for Chinese culture, but the fact is China has a history of being one of the most fractious and divisive and self-warring nations ever to exist. All of Chinese history is one continuous, millenia long civil war. Maoism was all about smoothing over those differences in order to finally bring an end to that inner turmoil. But it could just as soon devolve into warlordism

People love to cry for China's downfall but its not going to become irrelevant overnight. If anything those bugs will be subject to intense cruelty as their land fractures for the 15th or so time, which would kill exports dead and have a ripple effect on half the planet
