Is sea bathing a psyop? If not why it was not popular until after the 1960s?

Do you take baths before going to the beach or after? This is an IQ test

You take a quick shower afterwards to wash off the sunscreen/sweat from being at the beach all day but otherwise the salt water is great for your skin/hair and it's good to keep that goodness "locked in" for a day or two

I've heard it's actually a really bad thing for hair retention

The salt water is terrible for clean hair. Good luck figuring it out.

I literally wish I could start every day just jumping into a body of water. Talk about a wake up. No coffee required

I don't care if it was popular or not, i grew up by the beach and my instinct has always been to get in the water either to escape the heat or recreationally. Maybe what wasn't popular before the 60s was beach tourism, which only boomed after WW2, but locals should still bathe in the sea before that.

My family have swum in the North Sea at the same beach at least five generations.

Homer was a Frenchman and your whole history is a psyop.

Yes I’m talking about beach tourism. Also here many island towns were built away from the beach due to pirates (in the old age)

If you have been in for a dip you don't need to shower. Ever really.

Because the vast majority of people don't live near the coast and casually traveling long distances for recreation only became gradually more available to average people as travel infrastructure broadened and improved. If you were a poorfag from central europe pre-1950's you might very well never see the ocean in your lifetime.

Beach tourism here is mid-19th Century. Only got popular once railways could easily get people there.

A lot of these trends start in England and fan outwards. Naming and climbing mountains is another.

Because people had to wear this to the beach until then.

Aristocracy went to beach resorts before beach tourism boomed, when people started getting money they copied them. And pretty sure it was promoted by governments as well since it was good for economic growth.

The book I am reading is damning on the subject. This page is just his conclusions for the first part.

St Omer = Homer. Not a very Greek name is Homer, is it?

Lol. I expect they did. Never found it myself.

Best water is off the North coast of Ireland. Clear as a bell.

Salt water ruins your skin. Look at Paul Saladino who eats super healthy but looks terrible because he goes surfing every day.

Dryness and irritation:
Excessive exposure to saltwater can dry out the skin and potentially worsen conditions like eczema or acne.
Sun sensitivity:
Saltwater can make the skin more sensitive to the sun, so it's crucial to wear sunscreen while swimming in the ocean.
Risk of infection:
Ocean water can contain bacteria and other contaminants, which could lead to skin infections, particularly if there are cuts or open wounds.
Not a substitute for medical treatment:
Sea water should not be considered a replacement for medical treatments recommended by a dermatologist for skin conditions.

Unbelievable wewuzzry. You know there are references to Homer in Aristotle and Plato, right? It is absolutely impossible to describe how unhinged and aside from reality these theories are. You'd have to come up with an aryan explanation for the poem of Gilgamesh as well.

The salt in the spray literally cures hay-fever and sinusitis. No coincidence that beach cultures are more relaxed and chill than city slickers. From Australia to Monaco to Greece and Malta, people who live by the coast are less neurotic and violent than the rats living in overpriced 50 storey city cages.
Why do you think the rich love to buy islands and yatchs? The sea is a natural healer

Funnily enough i've been hearing since i was a child that sea water was good for all these things. I mean, i stopped going to the beach every day in my mid teens, but before that i was swimming most days and never had any problems with my skin, hair or eyes, which i always opened under the water.

What gave me problems at some point was pool water though.

It was also part of industry, during holidays factories started doing their maintenance/changes so that production was not interrupted, this became built in and started holidat "fairs" when whole communities had the same time off

we have lost a lot as a society

All water is a toilet. Going to a public pool is the equivalent of sharing bathwater. Rivers are full of pollutants, the estuaries are orifices, literally back passages of the hinterland full of shit and toxins flushed into the waters. Testing is based only on certain criterion, the water is filthy and it is not tested for a broad spectrum. Fuck you and your culture of bathing in filthy toilet water.
