>>510812623Itโs more expensive to have to drive everywhere. Amerisharts say communist countries are oh-so-poor while their cost of living steadily climbs because their government doesnโt provide anything to them, like basic fucking public infrastructure including public transit. Itโs a paradox. Imagine, how much extra disposable income would you have if you didnโt have to:
1. Pay for car insurance
2. Pay for gas
3. Pay for maintenance
4. Pay for parking, especially if you are not a homeowner (commie countries and former commie countries have higher homeownership rates than Western countries)
5. Pay for the car itself (the prices are steadily climbing - a truck now costs as much as a down payment on a detached home did only a decade ago, and as much as a house once cost if you go several decades more back in time)
In most parts of North America, you need a vehicle just to commute to work or buy groceries. Tell me, are you paying all these fees because youโre rich and you can afford to do so, or are you poor because you need to throw so much money away to fulfill your basic life needs?
