we use nuclear and synthetic liquid fuel for remote energy needs.

Invest in gold and silver. Learn to smith, learn to make a fire with just wood. Learn what flint looks like, learn to craft a bow and axe.

They told us 50 years ago that oil runs out in 50 years. It doesn't run out, they just make is artificially scarce by conceptualizing it as a "fossil" fuel.

Oil is available like water under the earth, a natural cycle as anything else in this physically created existence.

In 1892 at the Geneva convention Rockefeller stated that oil was fossil fuel to turn it into a scarce commodity. He was the singular holder of all Oil in the vast majority of the world.

I believe Oil will run out when I see it.

civilization collapses to 19th century levels and cannot bootstrap again because all the easily available oil is gone. that's why they are pushing for electricity, they want an infrastructure to buffer against that. unless an alternative is provided it's gonna be over at the first hiccup, be it a pandemic, an asteroid, an ice age etc. there must be a backup plan before the crash

if SHTF there can be no another 20th century, remember that. We'll be stuck on the first floor with the staricase burnt away. I forgot the nuclear war as a very real possibility of a full scale collapse

Oil doesn't "run out" its a natural by-product of active geological forces and consistently replenishes itself over time.
We only "run out" of oil if we're attempting to run of deep well reserves from established fields and we run those fields dry....but the Earth is basically a big ball of mud, water, oil and lava. Pretending like oil is somehow a finite resource is hilarious. Oil is the blood of the planet, and just like your bone marrow replenishes your blood over your life span, the Earth's deep geological processes consistently create new hydrocarbons....its all a matter of finding them and getting them out of the earth.
You think about oil in stupid boomer terms...like...oil is some kind of pocket of fluid in the earth that is just in a few places like Texas and Saudi Arabia.
Oil is EVERYWHERE. The planet is FULL of it. Any planet with active geology produces hydrocarbon fluids as a byproduct.

The science now says Because of EV's we will actually have most of our "irreplaceable" oil never extracted from the ground.

There's dozens of ways to run an engine without it, plenty of people have made non electric versions but the tech gets subverted or confiscated for industry interests. Worrying about this is stupid unless you yourself are heavily invested in the oil industry personally. If it truly becomes unfeasible they will trot out functional solutions very quick. They will still use it as an excuse to enslave you and take away all your shit though, but in the grand scheme things will be fine.

The real problem there is things like motor oil, rubber gaskets and tires.
