no in fact it looks great and as a city is quite good. if it weren't so corrupt and jewish it would be one of the best cities in north america. the people are pretty bad though. older Quebecois are somewhat based but the millennials and younger are tranny horror shows. Imagine if Portland were French.

montreal is pretty nice although they also imported their fair share of the third world. im of italian descent and a lot of my family lives in quebec. they always said that montreal has a large italian influence but i was really disappointed. nothing really impressive

Fantastic week or weekend getaway. Great food, great beer, beautiful city, Cirque de Soliel home base, museums, parks, microbreweries Jean Talon market, USD booming vs. CDN, everything cheap. There 2-3X a year since early 90s. I loved Montreal. Go back during fires 2023. Drugged out blacks sleeping on sidewalks, many stores, bars, restaurants gone. Everything expensive, people there sullen, sad. Going out culture gone. Go to bar, no one from Montreal, just other tourists. If it felt expensive to me hard to be far worse for natives. Felt bad man.

visited Montreal a few years back, border situation was weird but understandable, don’t know why their officers refuse to speak English though. The city itself was beautiful and clean, stayed in a hotel in the center of the city and liked how walkable and available things were. People were ok, I didn’t really take much notice of them though.

There is a western area of Montreal that is very "anglo" and speaks English. Most tourists go there. The majority of the city is French but they're all Canadians and speak English just fine, just prefer not to. Montreal is sort of a combo, bilingual city.

in the rest of Quebec including Quebec City there isn't any english-speaking zone. Again, people usually speak English but you are much better off in Quebec speaking French. Note that if you speak actual French the accent in Montreal especially will make you mad.

Canada as a whole doesnt have alot of Africans but its gotten worse over the last 20 years during immigration selection. But Montreal is definitely one of the worst for Black and Arab/Magrehb immigration. Alot of black nations speak French and decide to immigrate to Canada if they cant get into France.
