You like "modern medicine" because you eat modern food. People don't need medicine if they eat normally. People don't even need dentists or toothbrushes on a natural diet and they will have perfect teeth. Same is true for the rest of the body. We are so detached from nature that people can't even imagine living in a non-degenerated state.

Due to innate propensity for everything to find the path of least resistance, technology make people lazy and, therefore, inutile. This then leads to shit like "useless eaters", "UBI", "mass migration" and, inevitably, species extinction. Evolution imbues people with the trait of adaption, and if that is circumvented, people wither away and die (not before dissolution takes place, of course). See analogy: A lack of physical activity causing muscle atrophy.

...Which is all to say nothing of the nefarious applications involute to technology and, therefore, what it always defaults to.

That's a bit optimistic buddy. Diseases won't disappear alongside medicine.
Instead the reason you don't get sick is:

Besides animals that is, and mosquitos and whatever, maybe a tick? Then there's parasites.
The reason why there are no cripples in such a healthy, natural society is... that they died. Same is true for anything else.

That naturally leaves only more or less healthy people, but your population will drop to 0.1% as everybody dies, and then stabilizes as you jog through the forest half naked as a hunter gatherer.
