>>510884537 (OP)Evangelical support for Israel is collapsing — it used to be around 70–80%, but now it’s down to barely 30% among younger Evangelicals. That’s a massive generational drop.
At the same time, over 25% of Americans aged 20–40 now view Israel unfavorably, compared to less than 10% in the 60–80 age bracket. That generational divide is real, and it’s only growing.
Trump’s actual support — beyond the Republican bubble — has already slipped. While around 60–70% of Republicans still back him, his overall approval in the general public has hovered closer to 40% or lower even before the Epstein gaslighting and the Israel-Gaza fallout. And when that base starts to splinter, even a 20% dip in credibility can be politically fatal.
Historically, when a leader’s real support drops below 40%, you’re no longer dealing with a functioning mandate — you’re looking at a breaking point: state collapse, coup attempts, or worst case, a desperate slide into authoritarianism. That kind of power grab might seem possible — but with half the country armed to the teeth and increasingly disillusioned, I doubt it would last long without serious resistance.
