IQ is irrelevant and purely abstract. What we need are civics tests. You can't vote unless you can answer questions about the duties and responsibilities of all three branches, how a bill is drafted and passed, how many votes are needed to override a veto, etc. Make it directly relevant and test for EFFORT in understanding the civic system rather than just raw intellectual ability. The older I get, the less respect I have for raw processing power (saying this as someone who got tested in the 150s as a child). Smart but ignorant is a very real archetype and maybe the most salient of our time. If you don't give enough of a shit to know how our system works, you shouldn't get to vote in it, in my opinion.
