Democracy is a terrible system. It is greatly improved by what I call “measured democracy”. Everyone can vote, but each vote does not carry equal weight. E.g a welfare queen may cast a vote, but with a millionth of the value of a doctor owning property with a stay at home wife and 4 kids.
Other factors that would dilute the power of your vote would be race; if you belong to a non-native race, you have less power.
