I almost feel like with everything costing more and going downhill the populace needs a easy to digest distraction from their ever enshittifying lives so they latch onto things such as the Epstein files in order to have something to be mad at in their day to day.

I get it, we all need distractions from time to time but even if the files were released today and it showed pure and simple that Trump for example did do the unspeakable with kids it won't really change anything. MAGA people will still support him, just as the Left would still support the Clinton's even if the files said the exact same thing about them. There would be talk about impeachment or jail time but nothing would really ever happen and I think we all know this which is why I don't understand why people care.

I don't think Trump was ever blackmailed. However geopolitically the recent Israel victory over Iran has been fortuitous and disconnecting from Israel now would disrupt that fortiunate gain.

Also, while the Israel lobby has never been particularly pro Trump, the pro Palestine lobby being welcomed into the Democrat tent has made the Israel lobby more pro Trump of late which tends to blow in the same direction his ship wants to sail anyway.

Until Israel does something obviously anti-Trump he's not going to completely throw them under the bus. The Israelis and their lobby are everything people think they are, but I don't think Trump will pick a fight with them unless they go after him. That task might be for someone else in the future.

I think it would probably be best to release all the Epstein stuff regardless of what is in it. Even if it has been manufactured, let's get that out there.
