Let's be honest. Nobody wants to live in the most poor, desolate, rural areas of the US. Not even the people who currently live there. Jobs are extremely limited, and there's very little to do for fun (besides meth). The nearest grocery store could be well over 30 miles away, and it's probably a fucking Walmart. If you want internet access, your only options are likely going to be overpriced cellular or Starlink. People fantasize that living out in the middle of nowhere is some easy, quiet, peaceful experience. In reality, it fucking sucks unless you're already rich. It can be expensive, stressful, and VERY boring.

Quite the opposite. When I was poor I was forced to live in the city. I'm still poor, but I make enough to not have to live in the city and I will never go back. I enjoy not hearing cars and sirens. I enjoy looking at the neighboring wheat field sway in the wind. I enjoy the simpler people who lack vanity and greed, even if they more frequently have other issues. I enjoy people who fundamentally want to work for their living and aren't just trying to figure out how to scam their way out of the system. I enjoy being able to shoot in my backyard. I enjoy not being forced to interact with neighbors unless we want to. I enjoy waking up the sound of the neighboring farm's roosters and cows, as well as the plethora of birds in the countryside. It brings a peace that you simply cannot ever get in the city.
