there was a reason women could not marry without their fathers' approval back in the day and this was why - women are poor tribal identity-keepers. Exceptional outside individuals could still marry into the in-group occasionally, but even then they would never be a part of it, only their kids would. Same thing for a male marrying a foreign female, the female would never be part of the in-group
any child born outside of marriage to a in-group member to a non-in-group partner is naturally a mongrel and not a quebecois either
