My job is pretty senior and I make hiring decisions. Despite what people say about zoomers, I would describe most as extremely motivated, but underexperienced because they have been robbed of real opportunities to do anything. Everything about this world is fake and gay.

In addition to my day job, I'm working on a startup. I received a few hundred K in pre-seed funding and I'm working basically solo to line up a big client. This is easier for me because of the existing network I have through my engineering job. You have no idea how many zoomers reach out to me begging for any opportunity to work and get their foot in the door, even unpaid. I don't have the bandwidth to manage them, and I don't believe in unpaid labor, so it breaks my heart to reject them. I have no jobs listed by the way - they somehow find me through LinkedIn and research everything about me and my barely-there company before even reaching out cold. That's how bad they want to feel purpose and work on something interesting and meaningful.

Idk man I gave up on life when I was like 10 and now I'm 23. I just don't function well in a very individualistic society and have difficulty forming social bonds, im pretty sure im a schizoid(NOT the same as schizophrenic). Most neets are created in their childhood and teenage years for a multitude of reasons, there are probably some that give up later in life but those are more rare or just because they are rich and can just live comfy for the rest of their lives.
