These shitbags call me 50 times a week asking if I have real estate to sell. All Southeast Asians calling from numbers based in Tennessee (Memphis and Nashville). Looked into filing TCPA actions against them but an attorney told me it's not worth my time. They are good at being parasites and are sufficiently hidden by layers of LLCs and corps.

oh and a personal favorite; if you have any kind of loud whistle (referee, lifeguard, band etc) you can blow it into the phone as loud as you can and it will kill the person on the other end.

for me it's the text messages pretending to be the government/state traffic ticket agency/bank tech support/etc

i don't personally mind it but i always think of how there are probably a few dozen old people who fall for it each time. and it just adds a predatory, tightrope-walking nature to existing in modern life. like if i click one of those links in the texts/emails/FB messages/etc then i know my life is about to get way shittier. scumbag predatory parasitic scammers.

A guy I used to work with really knew how to have some fun, dealing with these fuckers. He'd politely start giving them his credit card # and it would be a few seconds before they realized he'd given them about 5 extra numbers. He also learned how to say something like "you mother got fucked by a goat" in hindi. I could hear those fuckers screaming, five feet away from his desk and phone.

Id love it if my phone only accepted phone calls from people who have phone numbers that are tied to their public crypto address, to their banking information, basically shit they cant change easily so if they go about scamming their life and their future generations lives are ruined.

Scam calls single handedly destroyed phone call culture. It used to be people would love to pick up the phone and talk on it.
Then came caller ID because jeets couldn't control themselves
Then came text messaging
